I looked at the Dallas Mavericks’ upcoming schedule for the month of November and found five games Mavs fans should be excited about. This month features a showdown with the Spurs, the return of Porzingis to Madison Square Garden, and a pair of clashes with the titans of L.A.
How will the Mavs do? Why have these games caught my attention? Let’s find out.
Lakers vs. Mavericks – November 1, 2019
The Lakers’ duo is a good measuring stick for Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. It’s who they should strive to be. Luka is already proving he can be Lebron-esque. Kristaps has the potential to be on Anthony Davis’ level. It will be a good challenge for them to see how they compare to two established superstars.
But, come on, the Lakers are in town. It’s Lebron and AD. What else is there to say?

Mavericks at Knicks – November 14, 2019
Porzingy makes his long-awaited return to Madison Square Garden. Pretty sure he will be booed every time he touches the ball, but a win against the Knicks and a big game from KP would be music to my ears.
However, my prediction is that Luka puts on a show. Not just because it’s MSG – the mecca for basketball – but also for his running mate, ‘Porzinjus’.
I just cannot see Luka allowing us to lose this game.
Oh, and didn’t the Mavs used to have the Knicks point guard? What was his name again? Was it Frank Ntnilikcantspellhisname or, I think…
Spurs vs. Mavericks – November 18, 2019
The rivalry is renewed. Both teams are expected to fight for playoff positioning making this a “game-to-watch”. The Mavs must beat the Spurs on their home court and try and steal one in San Antonio.
This game will be a good indication of whether or not the Mavericks are a Playoff team.
Mavericks at Rockets – November 24, 2019
James Harden and Russell Westbrook. Two of the most hated players in the league. How could you not get excited for this one?
Chances are this is a straight-up 3-point contest as both teams are primed to be top 5 in the league in 3-point attempts.
I doubt either team will play much defense so it should create a really exciting match-up.
However, if the Mavs are going to make the playoffs, they are going to have to win some games on the road against the top teams in the West.
In-state rival. Division rival. Conference rival. This puts this as “game-to-watch” for November and one the Mavs must show up for.

Clippers vs. Mavericks – November 26, 2019
Remember when the Clippers were the laughing stock of the league for, like, 40 years? Well, times change and suddenly the Clippers are a prime destination for top free agents. Who would have guessed it?
Mavs have to compete against this team and win the games at home. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George (if healthy) provide an exciting matchup to look forward to, and another measuring stick for the Mavericks.

This month has some exciting matchups. If the Mavericks want to make the Playoffs they need to go 3-2 against these teams.
They must win games against the lesser teams and try to steal a few from the elites.
