The Dallas Mavericks got a clutch win! After struggling throughout the season in clutch situations, the Mavs had one of their best 4th quarters we’ve seen in a while. Their ball movement was amazing, Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis were unstoppable, and even their defense was stifling at times.
This game was fun to watch from beginning to end. Luka notched his 21st triple-double before turning 21 years old. He is now tied with Jason Kidd for the most triple-doubles in franchise history. And the passes he was making in this game were absolutely amazing.
The entire team’s ball movement was so fluid and beautiful. They made the extra pass time after time and set each other up for open shots. It was a masterpiece of a game.
It’s clear that Kristaps is back. He scored 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to go along with 3 blocks and 2 steals. In his last 10 games he’s averaging 25 points, 10 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 steal. In that span, he’s shooting nearly 50% from the floor and 39% on 3-pointers.
The Unicorn has arrived, ladies and gentlemen.
Overall, this game was a lot of fun to watch. Dorian Finney-Smith hit a huge 3-pointer to settle the team after the Spurs made a huge comeback. Tim Hardaway Jr. added some much-needed scoring, and with Jalen Brunson out, J.J. Barea came in and steadied the second unit.
